2nd Story Workshops at Uptown Writer’s Space!
The Uptown Writer's SpaceWe are thrilled to return to Uptown Writer’s Space, this time for an eight-week long intensive workshop in performance storytelling! Mirroring their own story development cycle, 2nd Story directors will take class participants through a series of writing and performance workshops— including both group and individual work—culminating in a final UWS 2nd Story show!

Thursdays, 6:00-9:00 starting October 2nd (skipping Thanksgiving, of course. So we can all go be thankful). This class has been moved to January. Please stay tuned!

$350 for eight weeks ($300 for students and UWS members)

2nd Story Collaborates with the Goodman Theatre
This summer 2nd Story artists collaborated with The Goodman Theatre to create a six week intensive for high school students combining personal narrative storytelling and oral history, culminating in the end of July with a kickass final performance created by our kickass students! We were so proud to work with them (they sorta showed us up, actually. But don't tell them we said so!). August 21, 2008

2nd Story is THRILLED to be performing at The Goodman Theatre for Looptopia, Chicago's all-night celebration of Arts and Culture!

On Friday, May 2nd from 11:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. 2nd Story storytellers Ric Walker, Matt Miller, and Megan Stielstra, featuring Miles Polaski on sound, will be telling stories at The Goodman. With, of course, WINE! And, apparently, 100,000 people?! Did we READ that right??
